How to Delete a Trade

Delete permanently removes a trade. Use this only for duplicates, test entries, or trades that were entered by mistake. If the trade just has a wrong value, use Edit instead — it is safer.

Before you start

Make sure the trade truly should not exist. Deleted trades cannot be recovered.

If only one field is wrong, Edit is almost always the better choice.

Verify the ticker, strike, and expiration so you do not delete the wrong trade.

1

Find the trade

Locate and verify the trade you want to remove.

  • Open the Trades page.
  • Click the trade row to open its details.
  • Read the ticker, strike, expiration, and status to be absolutely sure.
2

Click Delete

Triggers the deletion confirmation.

  • In the detail dialog, click Delete.
  • A confirmation prompt will appear.
  • Stop and read the confirmation carefully.

Tip: Take a breath before confirming. There is no undo for deletion.

3

Confirm or cancel

Your last chance to back out.

  • Click Confirm to permanently delete the trade.
  • Or click Cancel if you have any doubt.
  • Once deleted, the trade disappears from all reports, wheels, and the calendar.
Good to know

If you accidentally deleted a trade, you can re-enter it manually using Add Trade.
